Many high school seniors around the country are buying kiddie backpacks to use for their final year of high school. For many students, this tradition is a fun throwback to their childhoods and another way to celebrate their final year of high school. Here at the Academy of Saint Elizabeth, many of our seniors have participated in this trend. You can spot many childhood characters on senior’s backpacks around the school. Some have dinosaur backpacks, others have bright rainbows featured on their bags. These backpacks bring a sense of nostalgia as they symbolize the end of childhood. They are an adorable sight to look at as you walk down the hallways during a school day.

Of course, there is some concern with kiddie backpacks; they are small in size, making it difficult for students to hold all their textbooks, binders, and notebooks. Some students view this as a good thing, as it is more difficult to carry around unnecessary weight. But so far, many people have chosen to keep their kiddie backpacks, despite the downsize. Honestly, it comes to personal preference. It will be interesting to see how long these backpacks last. And for underclassmen, this is a fun tradition to look forward to in their senior year.

Below are some backpacks that seniors are using this year. Don’t these seem like a lot of fun?
