This week the Aquapanthers had two tough meets against Randolph and Kinnelon.  In the meet against Randolph, the medley relay of Kasey Desiderio ’25, Crystal Pisello ’24, Josie Speace ’27, and Shannon Hunt ’25 took first place. Josie Speace also had a first place finish in the 100 yard butterfly, while Kasey Desiderio took first in the 100 yard backstroke. Sophia Formanes ’25 achieved second place in the 200 yard IM and Julia Riccio ’24 won second place in the 200 yard freestyle. The team of Josie Speace, Sophia Formanes, Shannon Hunt, and Luci Ostromogilsky ’26 took second in the 200 yard freestyle relay. In the meet against Kinnelon, Julia Riccio, Sophia Formanes, Caitlin Flanagan ’24, and Kasey Desiderio got second in the medley relay. Caitlin Flanagan also achieved second in the 50 yard freestyle, while Josie Speace took second in the 500 yard freestyle. Great job Panthers!

The AOSE basketball team beat Veritas Christian 59-38 on Monday. Greta Servitto ’24 lead the Panthers with 30 points, 16 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 3 steals. Fiona Farrell ’24 added 16 points for the Panthers, including four 3-pointers. Zoe MacWhannell ’25 had  6 points and 8 rebounds, while Tezza Koza ’25 added 4 points and 6 rebounds. Caroline Bodnar ’25 also had 2 steals. The Panthers also beat Parsippany in overtime by a score of 38-33. Fiona Farrell achieved 16 points and 2 steals, while Greta Servitto had 15 points and 15 rebounds. Katie Callahan ’25, Zoe MacWhannell, and Caroline Bodnar also helped the team with multiple rebounds. The team ended the week with a win against Dover, as Greta Servitto tallied 23 points, 13 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 2 steals. Fiona Farrell contributed with 10 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals, while Ella Delatush ’25 scored 7 points. Riley Wasdyke ’24 and Zoe MacWhannell each had 4 steals. Caroline Bodnar, Katie Callahan, Tessa Koza, Zoe MacWhannell, Colleen Santoriello ’25, and Riley Wasdyke, all scored, meaning that every player on the varsity team scored in the game. Fiona Farrell was also nominated for The Daily Record Athlete of the Week for her amazing performance this past week, averaging 14 points a game. Congratulations Fiona! Keep up the great work!
