Should we, the residents of New Jersey, be concerned?

You may have heard about the massive storm that has been brewing rapidly in the Atlantic Ocean called Hurricane Lee. It started as a small tropical storm about a week ago, but as Hurricane Lee continues gaining strength, forecasters predict it may reach category five by the time it hits the east coast. Currently, the National Hurricane Center officially classifies Hurricane Lee as a category four hurricane. As of September 10th, wind speeds reached 120 miles per hour. The storm is currently moving northwest at about 8 miles per hour.

Presently, the storm does not pose much of a threat to land, and no coastal warnings or watches have yet been issued. Hurricane Lee is expected to come to the East Coast late this week or at the beginning of next week. Still, the storm’s path is not entirely clear. Too many factors are still subject to change, making it difficult to confidently predict the outcome of the storm. For the time being, however, it is best to remain calm and stay up-to-date with information about this upcoming hurricane.
