Easter break is only a few days away! This Friday, April 11th, is the last day before the Academy’s ten-day break. After the afternoon announcements on Friday, students will be more than ready to rush out the doors. The chance to relax, sleep in, and enjoy time with loved ones has finally arrived, after weeks of projects, early mornings, and assessments. If you travel in or out of the country for a vacation or a chance to visit family, the break allows for enough time to do that. I know I have been eagerly counting down the days after the last spring break to the beginning of this one. Even just taking the opportunity to stay local and catch up on schoolwork is a nice way to spend the break, taking a step back from the everyday stress of life in school. You can’t go wrong however you choose to spend the week and a half off.
With Easter Sunday falling on April 20th this spring, families have holiday festivities and traditions to look forward to. Even local churches are getting ready for the days of Holy Week. Monday, April 21st, is the last day of break and school is back in session the following day. The Easter break will end before anyone knows it, so we should cherish the time off.
Every break from school flies by and returning after such a long time off is always the most challenging part to get back into routine. Once we return, there won’t be much time left until the end of the school year, but the last few weeks with assignments piling up and finals on the way will be harder to manage. Next week also marks the end of Lent, allowing people to go back to what they gave up previously (if they gave up anything). All students are excited to be off from school, even if only for a short time, and even a little closer to summer. Happy Easter and have a fantastic break everyone!
