This past Sunday, the annual Mother Daughter Tea was held at the Academy! The theme “Wonderland” brought the study hall to life with themed desserts and decorations.
We started off the tea with a mass in the chapel, Father Thomas joining us again to run the mass. After our time in the chapel, the mothers and daughters headed to the study hall to find themselves in Wonderland! Clocks, rabbits, and even a neon sign reading “We’re all mad here” were on display for all to see. A lottery was held, winners collecting their themed prizes of teapots and tea cups, completing the Wonderland-tea theme.
Seniors enjoyed a few moments themselves for the mother-daughter tea! First, they had the chance to stand at the altar with their mothers, receiving roses as they took pictures. Later, in the study hall, they all stood on the stage. They received crowns as they answered questions about their mothers and sang the Alma Mater.
So much thought, effort, and time went into everything from the decor to the food. All around, the 2024 Mother Daughter Tea was a success! But in the end, in wonderland, we all went mad!
