World Teacher Appreciation Day was on October 5th. This was a day to celebrate all the teachers who have blessed us and impacted our educational journeys. Teachers all around the globe have the vital role of shaping future generations. Many countries celebrate this day with awards, events, and acknowledgments of teachers’ dedication and rigorous work. This international observance was first established in 1994 by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Students can make their teachers feel appreciated by making small gestures like writing a thank you note. Students can also thank their teachers by word of mouth, small gifts or by giving a helping hand in classroom activities. There are many different ways that students can take action to make a difference in World Teacher Appreciation Day.
Although this day is once a year, students always have the opportunity to thank their teachers daily and put a smile on their faces. Teachers are also remembered during Teacher Appreciation Week during the month of May. The teachers that we have had throughout our lives have made a huge difference in helping us gain important knowledge. Teachers will always be there for their students to provide them with support, both academically and emotionally. They only want the best for their students and enjoy seeing them thrive. They go above and beyond in their duties to ensure that their students fully understand the materials. Lessons learned in the classroom have a lasting impact, influencing choices that occur later in life and even career paths.
