The AOSE Soccer team concluded their 2023 season with a banquet on Wednesday 11/8, celebrating the team’s for athletic achievements of the season. While the season has now sadly come to an end, the Panthers’ hard work and determination was evident, as they had their best season since 2017. Grace Gehm ’24 was named the Most Valuable Player, having lead the team in points with 5 goals and 6 assists. Kayla Pizzi ’25 was named Defender of the Year. Along with her defensive contributions, Kayla had 4 assists. Gracelyn Spina ’25 ended the season with 2 goals and 1 assist, while also earning the Coaches Award. Colleen Santoriello ’25 earned the Sportsmanship award, while Alea Bediner ’24 earned the Blue & Gold award.
This season, the team had notable wins over Dover, Sussex Tech, College Achieve Central, and Booton. Maggie Misita ’25 led the team with 179 saves in goal, while Grace Van Hoven ’27 had 82 saves. Isabella Pribula ’26 also had 5 goals, tying Grace Gehm for the most on the team. Piper Misita ’26, Maggie Misita, Isabella Prestia ’25, and Alea Bediner ’24 all had multiple goals as well. Great job this season, Panthers!
