This past Monday, 10/16, the field hockey, soccer, and volleyball teams at AOSE all had their annual “Pink Out” games to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. The teams also had a bake sale at lunch in support of this cause. Congratulations to all three teams for winning their “Pink Out” games on Monday!
The field hockey team beat Whippany Park 3-0. Annie Rojack scored the team’s first goal on a stroke—field hockey’s version of a penalty shot. Emerson Lezynski and Fiona Farrell also scored, while Addison Heuck and Ella Delatush had assists. Defensively, Abby Villa, Annie Rojack, and Kiersten Gann kept Whippany Park from scoring. On 10/18, the Panthers took on Newark Academy. Fiona Farrell led the team with two goals, while Annie Rojack had a goal. Addison Heuck, Ella Delatush, and Katie Callahan all had assists.
AOSE Volleyball started the week with a 2-0 win against Hackettstown. Clare Farrell led the team with 13 kills, 12 service points, 10 digs, and 4 aces. Amanda Chambers had 22 assists. Mackenzie Siegel had 9 kills, 5 digs, and 5 service points. Great job Panthers! Congratulations to Amanda Chambers, who had a career-high, 32 assists, in the Panthers’ loss against New Providence on Thursday, 10/19.
Panthers’ Soccer won on Monday against Booton by a score of 4-2. Alea Bediner, Isabella Pribula, Maggie Misita, and Piper Misita had goals, while Isabella Prestia had an assist. Freshman Grace Van Hoven had 12 saves for AOSE. She also had 15 saves in the Panthers’ loss against Morristown Beard this week.
